Global water scarcity is one of the bigest problems we have on our planet. There is 70% of our planet covered by water, but only 3% is freshwater, and 2.5% is unusable. Most of the freshwater in the world is trapped in glaciers or is entirely unusable due to pollution. This leads to only 0.5% of the planet's water usable freshwater. To put that into perspective, if you compared Earth’s water supply to a goldfish bowl, only a teaspoon of that water would be usable.
